To configure your bibliography (your list of references) so that it adheres to your desired citation style:
- Select the bottom right-hand corner arrow in the Bibliography block (the second block). If you hover your mouse above the corner arrow it will say "Configure Bibliography". Click on the arrow to open it.

- "An EndNote 20 Configure Bibliography" dialog box should open, with the Format Bibliography tab opened. Check that the right document and output style (reference style) is listed.
- Go to the Layout tab. Make changes where needed. Common changes one needs to make include:
- Setting the text format for the Bibliography title, e.g., to bold, italics, etc.
- Inputting a Bibliography title, e.g., References or Works Cited.
- Adjusting the line spacing.
- Adjusting the hanging indent.
Important note: Set the Text format for Bibliography title before you type the bibliography title. The format won't change if you do it the other way around.
