EndNote X9 for Windows: Connection files - Get references from other library catalogs

Step-by-step Guidance on using EndNote on PC

About this Page: Connection Files

Connection files allow you to search other library catalogs and databases from within EndNote. Connection files are often most useful to quickly locate a book reference from another library catalogYou can then download references directly into your library. This page explains how to save and use connection files.

Caution: We recommend you only use Connection files to search external library catalogs, not library databases.  In our experiences, this has been problematic.
Instead,
directly export from PubMed database and other databases using their online interface.
