This is a two-step function. First, you need to create a footnote using the Word Footnote function, then insert the citation into that footnote using EndNote.
1. Open your document in Word and ensure you can see the EndNote tab open on the Word ribbon. Place your cursor where you want the citation to appear and add a space.
2. Select the top half of the Insert Citation button on your EndNote ribbon.
3. Type a keyword, author or title into the search box and select Find.
4. Highlight the reference you want and select Insert. The citation will appear in-text and will be added to your reference list.
Tip - to search for all references enter the letter "a".
