History of Scholarly Commons
- Developed in partnership with the Georgia Knowledge Repository project and funded by an Institute for Museum and Library Services (IMLS) grant
- First hosted by Georgia Tech in collaboration with this funded project
- 2012 - moved host to BioMed Central Open Repository
- 2014 - Augusta University Faculty Senate passed an open access resolution in Support of Open Access Dissemination of Research in which faculty are encouraged to share their scholarly outputs via Scholarly Commons
