Description: Meadow Garden: Home of George Walton, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and an early governor of Georgia. This home was built circa 1791. This photograph was a popular photograph of this residence, used in at least two different postcards. A colorized version of this image with the sidebar message area rather than the bottom message area of this example is available at Digital Library of Georgia, though the two could be examples of the same postcard with different scanning/photography apertures.
