Description: | A picture of the pumping station on the Augusta Canal. Originally built in 1899 and upgraded several times since, this station provides water to a large portion of Augusta. It uses an ingenious system that uses the hydropower of the canal to pump the water to the water treatment and reservoir system on Highland Avenue.
