Amazon Kindle

The Kindle is a series of e-readers developed by Amazon. Kindle devices allow users to download ebooks, magazines, newspapers, and other digital media. The Kindle line includes a range of devices, including e-readers with E ink electronic paper displays that simulate a real printed page and Kindle applications on all major computing platforms.

Barnes and Noble Nook

The Nook is a series of e-readers and tablets by Barnes and Noble. The classic Nook e-readers utilize the same E ink electronic paper display as the Kindle e-reader while the Nook tablets have a full-color screen and incorporate more functionality. There is also a Nook application that can be used on mobile devices, tablets, or computers.

The RBdigital links included above will also work with the Nook with the same caveat: Ebooks can only be checked out using the tablet version of the Nook or using the Nook application, not any of the Nooks that utilize E ink.
