eBooks on EBSCOhost (formerly Netlibrary)

Ebooks can be checked out and downloaded onto many different devices from eBooks on EBSCOhost database (formerly NetLibrary). Access this database via the link above, or from the Databases page from the Reese Library homepage.

This functionality is available to all GALILEO institutions who have purchased Solinet/Lyrasis Shared Collections via GALILEO:

  • University System of Georgia
  • Technical College System of Georgia
  • AMPALS
  • GPALS
  • Public Libraries

You will see the option "Download (Offline)" appearing within the record for each eBook.  Selecting this option will prompt you to sign in to your My EBSCOhost account.  If you do not have a My EBSCOhost account, you will be prompted to create one. Once you log in,  a screen will appear where you can select the "Check out Period" and then download the eBook.

To view the ebook on your device, you will need to download Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.1 or higher, to manage the checkout process.

The GALILEO FAQ in the link below provides access to a Word document that outlines this download process and also includes a list of all supported devices.

If you have any inquiries on how to use EBSCOhost eBooks or you experience any technical difficulties, please contact Reese Library via the link below.
