Classic Interface GIL-Find Searching: Exporting Citations

GIL-Find Searching: Starting your search in GIL-Find

Introduction

From the GIL-Find platform you can export single or multiple citations into EasyBib, EndNote, RefWorks, RIS format, or BibTeX format. This may come in handy when adding citations to your PACT! account, research paper, or CV.

Helpful Hints

BibTeX format is the easiest to use when importing citations into PACT!

Using the EndNote option will open the web app for EndNote and you will need to synch your desktop and web app instances in order to move citations to your desktop EndNote account.

Exporting Single Citation

Exporting a citation from a single title is very easy in the new GIL-Find system. Simply click "Get It" under the title you wish to export, and then select "Actions" on the far right side. This will expand a drop-down lit of options, include a variety of export options.

Export Multiple Titles

Exporting multiple titles is easiest when you have saved these titles to your e-shelf. You do not need to be logged in to do this, but if you are not logged in, the system will not remember your e-shelf items the next time you access the catalog.

To export multiple titled first select all the titles you wish to export by clicking the star to the left of the title. Yellow stars are those already included in your e-shelf. Grey and white stars are not selected.

After you have selected all of the titles you wish to include. Select "e-Shelf" from the top of the page. This will display all of your selected titles.

Choose the titles you wish to export, then use the drop down "Select how to save" to choose an export option.
