Teaching Primary & Secondary Sources in K-12 - Open Resources: Archaeology & Anthropology
This was designed to be a complementary resource for the 'Teaching with Primary Sources' workshop run by Dr. Juan Walker. But it can also be used as a stand-alone resource to aid you in your preparation for teaching with primary sources!
Primarily for middle school students, this guide has archaeology activities which range in length from 30 mins - 15 hours. A sequence of activities may be used together as a unit on archaeology, or individual activities can be used alone.
"A resource for anyone interested in paleontology, from the professional in the lab to the interested amateur scouting for fossils to the student in any classroom." [About website]. Includes resources of particular interest to K-12 teachers and students.
Suitable for middle through to high school, students can explore virtual exhibits on phylogeny, geology, and evolution, by the University of California Museum of Paleontology.
The World History Project is by History World International, a non-profit organization founded and run by current and former university professors from around the globe and under the direction of Doctor Robert A. Guisepi, historian and author [from FAQ].
