About the Digital Archives

This archive includes special purpose web sites, such as those used for annual Georgia Archives Week and local initiatives for preserving photographic, textual and otherwise rare and delicate materials.

Not all materials are of the antique and rare form or of national importance. However, the singular nature of the photographs or other material makes their preservation necessary and worth while, and allows them to be openly used by researchers.

These archives were created from materials donated to Reese Library Special Collections and the Augusta Richmond County Historical Society.

[These materials are displayed for the purpose of study and research. These materials are subject to copyright restrictions. For any other use, contact Reese Library Special Collections.]
