Our Purpose
Research in History and the Humanities rests upon the use of primary sources. Archives and Special Collections and Research Libraries are the prinicpal holders of primary sources. This guide is intended to give some instruction on the types of materials that can be found in these repositories, the expectations of an archives in relating to its users, and sources for careers in archives.
If you need help finding materials or navigating resources, don't hesitate to call your Library Liaison. Use the details on the Contact Us tab to make research appointments.
Find print and ebooks, other types of sources including DVDs, online videos, eJournals, print journals, and more found in the libraries (not journal articles)
Tip! When it launches into the full GIL-Find catalog, use the "Full Access Online" limiter on the side to retrieve materials available electronically.
