Welcome to the Georgia Cancer Center Library Guide!

Emily C. Harris, MLIS, is your GCC Librarian. The purpose of the embedded librarian is to build strong working relationships with the AU GCC, aligned with the goals of the GCC, to make customized contributions to the GCC Community. This LibGuide provides information to support all Georgia Cancer Center researchers, staff, and faculty members. In addition, AU University Libraries provide access to the following resources & services!

Top Library Databases

Pubmed
PubMed is the National Library of Medicine (NLM)'s search interface to the PubMed/MEDLINE database. Coverage is from the 1940s to the present and includes journals from around the world in numerous languages. Uses Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) to organize information.

Cochrane Library
A collection of six databases that contain different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Contains the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, the leader resource for systematic reviews in health care; Cochrane Clinical Answers (CCA), a clinically-focused entry point to rigorous research designed to inform point-of-care decision-making; and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), a concentrated source of bibliographic details on reports of randomized and quasi-randomized controlled trials.

TRIP Pro Database
TRIP is a clinical search engine and database that contains multiple categories of information, such as high-level literature, clinical calculators, and eTextbooks.

Web of Science
Provides access to multiple citation index databases with comprehensive data for multiple disciplines and topics including science, arts & humanities, conference proceedings, books, and emerging sources. Includes information on emerging trends, subject specific content, and analysis tools.

Journal Citation Reports
The only source of citation data on journals, including virtually all areas of science, technology, and social sciences. Shows the largest, most frequently cited, and highest impact journals in a given field.
