You may reach your liaison or embedded librarian by:
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Book an appointment for a research consultation
  • Walk-in, if they are available
  • Chat online through the "Ask the Library" service, and ask if they are available
    • Some librarians have their own separate chat line which you could access on their subject guide or in your D2L.
  • Through certain courses in D2L - a librarian may be in one or more of your courses in D2L.

If you require assistance immediately and you cannot reach your liaison librarian, we recommend you go to "Ask a Librarian" and either chat online, phone, or drop by to your library.

    • Find a particular journal article or book
    • Obtain full-text of a resource we don't have access to
    • Identify keywords or "key phrases" for your topic
    • Expand or narrow your search to find the resources you want 
  • In-depth research consultations, eg. How to...
    • Refine or break down your research topic, so that it is "searchable"
    • Develop a comprehensive search strategy to cover all your bases for finding resources for your topic
    • Advanced search in GALILEO, individual databases, and other sites for your topic.
  • Managing your search results, eg. How to...
    • Save, email, or export your results in GALILEO, GIL-Find Catalog, and individual databases
    • Manage your results in folders
    • Set up search alerts based on a sound search query.
  • Citation assistance, management, and plagiarism prevention, eg. How to...
