Federal jobs include all sorts of employment types, from librarians to postal service workers. Generally, applicants must be U.S. citizens. Because of the job security, competitive pay, and an excellent retirement system, there is a high interest among applicants for federal jobs.

A federal resume contains similar information to a private-sector resume, but there are some discrete differences. Typically, federal resumes are longer, and also require “compliance” information (see image below).
