Cyber Resource Center: Conferences

This guide is designed to highlight cybersecurity resources available to the public and Augusta University students, faculty, and staff

BSides Conferences

BSides Augusta

BSides Logo Hull College of Business (HCOB) has combined with other cyber security community experts to host an annual BSides information security conference at Augusta University.   BSides information security conferences are an international phenomenon (see http://www.securitybsides.com/w/page/12194156/FrontPage).  Typically, BSides conferences accent only the attack/Red Team side of cyber defense.  BSides Augusta; however, is unique among BSides events by offering two tracks: the traditional attack/Red Team; as well as cyber defense/Blue Team.

External Conferences

Conferences can enhance a professional's knowledge of the issues in a field.  It is also a way to network with other professionals and expand the professional's resource base. Many of these conferences are quite expensive to attend, but many will put the slides of the the speakers' presentations (and sometimes video of the whole thing) up at the conference website after the conference is over. There are more conferences out there than this list, and if any readers know of some other good conferences to include, please contact the author of this guide via email in his contact information.
