Communication Resources: Find Books and eBooks

A brief guide to library resources appropriate for research projects in Communication

Finding Books

Search for print and electronic books through the library catalog, GILFind. Items with call numbers are print books located in Reese Library. Ebooks are hosted on multiple vendor platforms. You may borrow print books held throughout the University System of Georgia (USG) with the GIL Express service. It takes a few days for the books to be delivered to Reese for pickup. Search GILFind using the option for "University System of Georgia". Books held across USG may be marked as "Check availability from other USG libraries."

Change the setting in the GILFind search box to "University System of Georgia"

Out of state print resources, and all electronic resources are outside GIL Express scope. When this is the case, print books, electronic books, book chapters, and all journal articles are available through interlibrary loan (ILL). Learn more, make a request!

Google Books

Search for books that have been digitized by Google.  If the book is out of copyright, or the publisher has given permission, you'll be able to see a preview of the book, and in some cases the entire text. If it's in the public domain, you're free to download a PDF copy.
