FOLIO Migration Guide

Updating library catalog links after December 16

If your syllabus or other saved location of URLs for an online library resource includes “galileo-aug.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/” as a prefix, that link will no longer work beginning in mid-December. In advance or just after this catalog transition in December you can begin using EDS at “https://research.ebsco.com/c/tjdpaj” to find and replace links for items.

How Do I Update My Links?

Follow these six steps for each resource you have a permalink:

  1. Go to an existing permalink and copy the title of the resource as plain text Visit EDS at https://research.ebsco.com/c/tjdpaj
  2. Paste the title of the resource – and any other relevant information – into the search or advanced search box(es)
  3. Verify it is the correct item (check for similar fields including author, publisher and creation date or edition, and ISBN or ISSN). When you locate the correct item, sometimes a cover image thumbnail can may help as well.
  4. Generate a new permalink by clicking the “share” icon and copying to your clipboard
  5. As a final step, you can now test your link in a different web browser window to ensure the resource loads as expected
  6. For help with these steps, or to request assistance in updating a selection of multiple links for yourself, your course or more please contact your library liaison / embedded librarian.

Exporting Saved Items from GIL-Find

If you have saved any searches or items in Gil-Find, these will disappear once we migrate to FOLIO. To keep these records, you can export the information and add it to Locate when we go live.

1. Log in to your Library Account.

2. Click on the "Go to my Favorites" thumbtack icon in the upper right corner.

3. Select "Saved Records" or "Saved Searches" at the top, depending on what you want to export. Then, select the items you want to save/export. You can select items individually, or you can select all by clicking the checkbox at the top of the list.

4. Select the three dots at the top of the list.

5. Choose how you want to export the items. You can also print them or email them to yourself for future reference.
