Welcome to the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) online reference portal. This LibGuide was created to serve the reference and research needs of the CAHS students, researchers, and faculty on the Augusta University’s Health Sciences Campus, but questions are welcome from any AU college or center. Each tab provides useful information to the disciplines within Allied Health.

PubMed This link opens in a new window A search interface comprising citations for biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher web sites.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text This link opens in a new window The premier database for nursing and allied health. Offering complete coverage of English-language nursing journals and publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses' Association. CINAHL covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. In addition, this database offers access to health care books, nursing dissertations, selected conference proceedings, standards of practice, educational software, audiovisuals and book chapters. Full text material includes 72 journals plus legal cases, clinical innovations, critical paths, drug records, research instruments and clinical trials.

Web of Science This link opens in a new window Provides access to multiple citation index databases with comprehensive data for multiple disciplines and topics including science, arts & humanities, conference proceedings, books, and emerging sources. Cochrane Library This link opens in a new window A collection of six databases that contain different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. Contains the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, the leader resource for systematic reviews in health care; Cochrane Clinical Answers (CCA), a clinically-focused entry point to rigorous research designed to inform point-of-care decision-making; and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), a concentrated source of bibliographic details on reports of randomized and quasi-randomized controlled trials.

The CTL houses a 3D scanner, a Raspberry Pi programming starter kit, two state-of-the-art 3D printers and other resources that may be used by anyone with a JAG ID.
The Greenblatt Library has several Windows laptops available for use by Augusta University students, staff, and faculty with a current valid Augusta University ID.
Quiet study areas are primarily located on the second floor and include tables, carrels, and casual seating. A few quiet areas are available on the first floor.
