The Bookwyrm Guild- TTRPG Events

Curious about Tabletop Role Playing Games, but not sure where to start? The AU Libraries is here to teach anyone interested how to play these games and will run a oneshot (a one session example game) of the game we've learned the following week!

What's a TTRPG?

TTRPG or Table Top Role Playing Games are collaborative, cooperative storytelling games. They come in all shapes and sizes, explore some of our favourite fictional worlds, can take place within any genre, and are only limited by your imagination!

Here's some of the more well known TTRPGs!

  • Dungeons and Dragons (D&D)
  • Pathfinder
  • Vampire of Masquerade
  • Kids on Bikes
  • Never Stop Blowing Up
  • And so so so so SO many more!

Okay. What's the Bookwyrm Guild?

The Bookwyrm Guild is a place where you can learn how to play new TTRPGs and get a chance to try 'em out for yourself! Run by the Augusta University Libraries, BWG is a resource open to both students and the gaming community of Augusta to try new things and have fun doing it!

Do we actually get to play games?

Yes! Every Saturday we meet at the Greenblatt Library on the Health Science Campus of Augusta University. One Saturday, we learn a game, and then for the rest of that month, we play that game!

The selection comes from the personal collection of the event coordinator, Marty Duff (they/them). They try to keep a pretty varied collection and takes requests when possible!
