What pieces of information should be included?
- What is the overall question you are answering despite having many pieces of information or data?
- Include only information important to answering your question.
- Choose keywords to represent each piece of information you are sharing. Later, you can also use these to select your graphics.
- Group closely related information together. While all of the information should be related, you may have categorical pieces that are most appropriately grouped together and give each other some sort of context. Each category can be placed in a separate block of the infographic.
- If the information is hierarchical in nature, order the information accordingly.
- Choose enough information to fully answer your question.
