French Resources: Find Articles

Galileo Discover Search

Search Tips

Strategies:

Use truncation (Paris* will find Paris, Parisien, and Parisienne for example.)

Use quotation marks to search for a phrase - "Le Petit Prince"

Connect each phrase or concept by using Boolean operators: AND, OR, NOT.

Set search limits such as scholarly journals, full-text, or document type.

Look at suggested subjects to narrow your search.

When you’ve found what you want:

Use the email feature to send the citation and the article to yourself. You may also print or save the article. Find out how to use your Box account off-campus.

You may choose to use the folder functions to save articles in a personal account. See the ‘folders’ page on this guide for instructions.
