GIL-Find is a single search tool to find books, eBooks, journal titles, videos, government documents, and more.
GIL Universal Catalog
The GIL Universal catalog will be replaced in late May 2017 by the new GIL-Find catalog which allows you to search the holdings of all University system libraries and have materials sent to Reese Library using GIL Express.

WorldCat
The world's most comprehensive bibliography containing millions of bibliographic records cataloged by OCLC Online Union Catalog member libraries. It includes books, websites and internet resources, manuscripts, maps, computer programs, musical scores, films and slides, newspapers, journals and magazines, sound recordings, articles, chapters, papers, and videotapes.

Google Books

Search for books that have been digitized by Google. If the book is out of copyright, or the publisher has given permission, you'll be able to see a preview of the book, and in some cases the entire text. If it's in the public domain, you're free to download a PDF copy.

Library Catalog

When looking for books, government documents or videos held by Reese Library, you should use the online catalog. We have two versions of the online catalog available - GIL and GILFIND. GIL is the traditional, old style online catalog that has been around for a number of years. GILFIND is an overlay to the catalog that is more modern and includes various Web 2.0 features such as tagging, favorites, book covers and more.

Your GIL Account

Each enrolled student at AU has an account in our catalog system. Use it to track books that you've checked out (and keep up with the due dates!) and items that you've requested from other libraries.

Your ILLiad Account

If a book is not available in the GIL Universal Catalog, you can request it from a non-University System of Georgia library for free using Illiad. Logon to your ILLiad account (new users must create their account) to place requests. Read more about Illiad requests here.

Note: If you plan to use ILLiad, please be sure and start your research early. Depending on where we need to request your materials from, it could take anywhere from 10 - 14 days or longer to receive them.
