Resources and Best Practices for Lecturers

Guides and tutorials are provided to assist you in configuring and using WebEx, Echo360 and other software used to share the multimedia content in this program. Further assistance can be obtained from the ITS Help Desk located in the Harrison Education Commons building. Call 706-721-4000 for assistance.

Best Practices:

WebEX

WebEx combines file and presentation sharing with voice and video for interactive meetings, webinars and presentations.

Echo360

Echo 360 is appropriate for recording WebEx presentations or other longer (>10 minutes) presentations at your desktop. Echo360 is not interactive (not used for audience participation) and is used on its own for recording lectures or non-interactive sessions.

Client software and access to the Echo site (lecture.augusta.edu) required.  See an Online Content committee member or contact Classroom Services for access.

Steps to producing an Echo 360 recording:

1.        Set up your camera and microphone and record the program using the Client software; or if recording a Webex session, camera and microphone are not necessary

2.       Review and edit the recording

3.       Publish the recording and place video in "Library 2018-2019" class folder

4.       Upload into Augusta University Youtube account

4.       Post the link to the Library Tutorials LibGuide.
