The Library Resource Guide for MCG/GSU Savannah Campus

Welcome to your Library Resource Guide. These resources are intended to be a place to start as you look up and research information for your projects within your classes.  Remember there are many more resources besides these that can be found through the Greenblatt Library (i.e. AccessMedicine, Journal List, Gil-Find).

Always Start at the Greenblatt Library Homepage

Whether you are on campus or off, please start at the Greenblatt Library Homepage, as this will prompt the proxy access that asks for your AU credentials and password, and it will initiate the DUO Mobile via your phone. You will have to follow these steps on or off campus.

GIL Express

If you are going through our library catalog GIL-Find (below the PubMed Discovery Tool on the Greenblatt Homepage) and you find a resource that you would like you can request the item from other USG campuses and it can be delivered to your library.

To request an item, be sure you are signed into your library account, you can check this by seeing your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

  1. Click Find & Request under the detailed record for the item you want to request.

  2. Under Request From Other USG Libraries, select any USG library at which the item is available Available in institution.

  3. Click Request

  4. Select Georgia Southern University as your pickup institution. Select Lane Library.

  5. Complete the form and click Request.

Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan service is an electronic system used to request articles, books, and other materials from other libraries if we do not have subscription to that resource. This is a useful service for you that is free to all AU faculty, students, and staff and pulls resources from libraries nationally and internationally.

First go to the Interlibrary Loan Login and select "First Time Users" and fill out all the boxes with a red asterisk. Please make sure to put your Jagcard ID Number (on the back of your Jagcard) and make the email address your AU Email address. Finally, create a password that you will remember as it doesn't change unless you change it or you say "Forgot Password."

After you have created your Username and Password, you can sign in and click the type of resource you are requesting on the left hand side (article, book, book chapter, or thesis). After choosing one of these please fill out the form to the best of your ability without skipping the red asterisk boxes. Do not change anything regarding payment or rush service, and click "Submit Request". You should get an email in two to three business days letting you know if the request was filled or rejected. If the request was filled, go back to the ILL login and you will find the resource under "Electronically Received Articles." Here you can save them as a PDF and please note they will expire in a month.
