Finding Political Information at Reese Library

The Statesman’s Yearbook: (print edition in Reference) includes reliable information on every country in the world, covering key historical events, population, city profiles, social statistics, climate, recent elections, current leaders, defense, international relations, economy, energy and natural resources, industry, international trade, religion, culture, and diplomatic representatives, and fact sheets.

 

The Europa World Year Book (print edition in Reference) The flagship of all the Europa reference titles, this 2-volume work presents a comprehensive, up-to-date resource for current political and economic information for 250 of the world's countries and territories as well as a full guide to international organizations. An astonishing 1650 international organizations are profiled, in a clearly organized format that groups United Nations bodies and agencies in the first section, and lists major non-UN agencies alphabetically in the second.

 

Use the Library Catalog, GIL-FIND, for full-length books on your country. Set the pull-down box on ‘subject’ and enter the country’s name followed by politics and government, such as Chile politics and government. Sort your results set by ‘date descending’ for the newest information.
