Be sure you are using scholarly materials. When using databases, click on the scholarly or peer-reviewed buttons before you search, or use limits after you search. Some short articles, even in scholarly journals may not be appropriate, such as commentaries or briefings. Look for full-length articles with abstracts, citations, and references.
Finding 'more like this:' Once you've found one suitable article, find others like it by using 'find similar items' in the ProQuest databases. In other databases, use the subject headings listed for your article, or keywords from abstracts or the article itself. In EBSCO databases, you can copy sections of an abstract and put them in the search box. The 'smart search' feature will help you find similar items.
Some of you may need to look at more than the business and economics databases for this assignment. Databases such as Communication and Mass Media Complete might be useful. You can search several or all the ProQuest databases, EBSCO databases and H.W. Wilson databases at once to broaden your search. In ProQuest, once you're in ABI Inform, look for the 'change' link at the top of the page to choose more databases. In EBSCO, look for the blue 'choose databases' link above the search boxes. In H.W. Wilson, open Business Full-text, then expand the database selection area.
MANAGEMENT 2106 Term Paper Assignment using GALILEO databases

When you’ve found what you want:
Save, print, or email the article or citation. Many databases allow you to choose APA style for the citation. These services will get it close to the form you want, but are not 100% accurate. Always check against your style guide to be sure.
You may choose to use the folder functions (see 'personal folders' tab on this guide) to save articles in a personal account.
In addition to the style guide listed on your syllabus, there is a print copy of the current APA Style Manual at the Information Desk. You can consult with Reference staff if you need help finding an example in the manual that fits the item you are citing, and if you need assistance finding appropriate articles for your assignment.
Here are some sample search suggestions (by no means exhaustive) to get you started on the term paper topics.
