AU Library's Comic Jam

A complete resource for the AU Library's annual Comic Jam!

Where is the jam?

The Comic Jam will begin in the Reese Library, Instruction Room. Upon entering the library, look just to the right of the front desk. 

Reese Library is located in the Jaguar Students Activity Center (or JSAC).

When does it start/end?

Kick Off

The Comic Jam begins officially at 12 PM, Saturday March 1st 2025, where the theme, rules, categories and awards will be announced.
It's okay if you're late to kick off HOWEVER, no additional time till be granted to late entries.

Doors will be open one hour early! Feel free to come by, ask some early questions, form groups, and register for the event!

Wrap Up

At 2 PM, Sunday March 2nd 2025, all participating comics must be submitted. No late entries will be accepted. 

Closing Ceremony

At 5 PM, Sunday March 2nd 2025, the closing ceremony will take place in the Reese Library Instruction Room. 

A special notice about the library's hours.
Reese Library will close like normal at 5 PM on Saturday and open at 12 PM on Sunday. You are not limited to library hours for working on your comic! It's highly encouraged that you continue to use as much of the allotted time as you need before the deadline!

Who can participate?

This event is open to students, faculty, staff, friends, family, local artists, and anyone else in the CSRA with a passion for comics!

Extra Info!

The AU Library's will provide free snacks and drinks and prizes will be awarded to the winners of the 4 available categories (see Categories tab for more details!)

All entries will be displayed alongside a Will Eisner Showcase in the Reese + Greenblatt Library for the week, with the winners’ comics being given special places of honor alongside various graphic novels available in the library’s collection.

The library will also have basic supplies like pencils, papers, panel templates, rulers, colouring supplies, ect. available for anyone to use while the library is open!

This event is free to participate in! There is no entry fee!
